I'm using 10 frame deeps for brood chambers.  I have read that the number of frames may be reduced in order to promote more concentrated results after installation of the bees with a 4 pound package.  Does this hold true for a 3 pound package?

I plan on leaving the 10 frames in for the installation.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks!

If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce would today cost $100, get a million miles per gallon, and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

If you have a nuc box start them in that. Go with a five frame nuc.

If I had a five frame deep, I'd use that.  If not, I'd just use the ten frame deep.
