getting rid of the mouse urine smell

I had mrs. mouse move into one of my hives this winter and make a big mess. She's been evicted, but she really stunk up the wood with her urine.  Is there a way to get rid of that smell?  Bleach?

If the wood is behind the wall. You should open all the windows and allow the house to air out. that is going to be one of the best options no matter what. If you have access to the areas the mouse urinated on, use baking soda. Also enzyeme cleaners will also probably have a good effect. Something like Oust or  Nature's Miracle.

try some of that pet odour and stain remover.  it has enzymes in it that "eat" the urine.  don't think it would hurt the bees.  doesn't hurt animals....

Nature's Miracle works for dog urine so even they cant smell it afterwrds. Vinegar and a little water also works for urine. Baking soda too.

If you can, spray it off, and then leave it in the sun and weather for a week or so.  That will take care of most of it.

It will eventually go away anyway.

If its a bottom board paint it with kilz and paint over that

I usually leave them out in the sun and rain for a while, but if you need the box, bleach will work.  Bees don't seem to mind the smell of bleach.  In fact, if their fondness for swimming pool water is any indication, they seem to like it.
