in my arduent task of still looking for my queen, I notice some of my bees have white (very white) spots on them..no, not marks, spots like splattered paint.... :?
of course the first one I got all excited because she quickly came out and then quickly went back in....^(_(@ thought it was her, but of course she was just a worker..
so whats up with the spots?

It's probably pollen.  When the jewelweed blooms around here all the girls have white stripes down their backs!

Do you have a feeder on the hive? Could it be sugar water dripped on the bees and dried there?

Cans?  :?

What kind of cans? I have a vision of an open top on this can you are talking about. Or an opening somewhere on the side or top.

I saw some similar marks on a few of my workers Thorax.  I have no idea what that is.  Kind of like a little splatter?

It's probably a splatter of syrup now that I read on

If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce would today cost $100, get a million miles per gallon, and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.
