First Go at Working Bees

For those of you not in the Northeast, things are moving slowly.

I got my first chance today to work with my mentor in his bee yard. We straighted up some dead hives, checked on a cut-out he'd done, which is coming along nicely, and split two hives.

It's the best evening I've spent in a long while.
