All my supers have wax coated plastic foundation and was thinking of cutting the plastic foundation into starter strips. The question is how far below the groove should I let the strips hang down and should I glue these in or wax them in. Also will they accept this very well or should I expect a little reluctance to plastic starter strips. This stuff has in no way been drawn out yet.

I Would leave about an inch hanging. Just make sure you have plenty wax on the strips.
I have trouble if the factory doesn't put enough wax on them. The bees should take it. If you have wedge tops I would just put the wedge in tight and tack-em in. Then later you can remove to clean, or if you decide to use full foundation it want be a prob.

The length is not important, especially if you are using foundation.  It only needs to act as a guide.  I've had pretty good luck with just using a strip of coroplast.  I've learned to keep it short 3/8" or so otherwise they just build comb off the end of the plastic and not the wooden top bar.   With foundation that shouldn't be an issue though as they will draw out the foundation as well.  You can save some money by not using foundation though.

Next time I inspect I'll take some pictures of them with comb.
