Sharon, oooh beautiful, what a lovely family picture.  I was sad that the picture was so small though, I couldn't see it very well.  Tell me, how did you post it on the forum, did you go through ImageShack?  (Actually, thinking about it, that is probably the only way to upload a picture to the forum), but maybe when you resized it, it was resized too small?  I can't quite figure this out, how could you have made the picture a little bit bigger so we could see the picture better?  Wonder if I or someone else could help you out?  I don't know if this is at all possible, but maybe, just maybe.

When I upload a picture into the forum, I firstly use VSO Image resizer to resize the picture into a size that is easily uploaded and I store it in a folder that I designate for forum pictures.  It is a super fast and great program that is so simple to use (and free to download.  Actually Mick (from the forum mentioned the resizer program and man was he right in saying it was good).  Then when I have resized the picture, I upload the resized picture (it is always around 100 kb or less) into image shack and then copy and paste into the forum.  Is that something similar to what you did?  I don't know if I am even doing it correctly, but it seems to work pretty fairly for me.  How do you get your pictures to the forum?  I am curious.  Have a beautiful and best of days.  Cindi
There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold.  The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.  The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee.  Robert Service

Sharon, wow! Those kids drank tequila! You know the saying, one tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor!

Cindi, posting pics just about wears me out! :-D

Hey guys, the picture was taken by my daughter and posted on her web site, I drug it off her site and plopped it here.  I don't think I can control its size  :(

Cindi

JP, if posting pictures wears you out, then you are doing something wrong in the picture posting process.  Unless I just don't understand what you are meaning, and maybe it is a time consuming process for you.  For me, it is only a few moments in time, but maybe I just don't understand how difficult it would be for others, and it may be so.  I have high speed cable, maybe you don't and it is difficult, I don't know the situation.

Sharon, oh, I didn't realize that the picture wasn't initially on your own computer, I apologize for that.  Still, we could see the picture well enough to get the gist of a beautiful family picture, the baby is darling, thank you for taking us into this part of your world.  Right, tequila shooters, yum, yum, I love that stuff!!!  Even better in some orange juice with grenadine, I think that is called the tequila sunrise, and man it has the beautiful flavour.  Have a great, wonderful day.  Cindi

Sharon, I like the picture. It would be nice to be able to view it a larger size though, I agree.

Cindi, what wears me out is finding the pictures, then going through the process of posting them. I will get better doing it I'm sure, as I just learned the procedure last night. I have fast cable speed too.

JP, OK that is the issue.  So my strong advice to you (and any one else that wants to listen).  When you find your pictures, copy each one into a new folder and then resize them there.  That way when you upload to ImageShack the folder is very simple to find, the picture has already been resized.

I know what you are saying about "finding the picture".  It can take an awful long time to look through a bunch of pictures.  Over the course of some time I have gone through just about all my picture on my laptop, renamed the good ones, copied them into folders and then resized so they are "forum ready".  I do this every time now that I download pictures from my camera, in the next couple of days I choose the best ones and they are at my fingertips.  It works for me, and I like simplicity.

VSO Image resizer is a fast and easy program to use, Mick from Australia had mentioned it a long time ago in a post and it is great, free download.  Have a beautiful, great day.  Cindi
