Certainly not.  If anything they get nicer.  Just that the FABIS is based on size.

In the beekeeping world it refers to when domestic bees have switch to a more natural cell size. Either through a gradual change such as not rotating brood frames and letting the cocoons in the cells build up. Or by a quick change such as using small cell foundation or small cell comb.
