Regulation and registretion?

In Maryland you are asked to register within 30 days for getting your first hives, and annually after that.  And since we purchased our nucs from the current President of the Maryland State Beekeepers Association, when we went to pick them up he asked us if we had registered, which of course we already had.  We have several different inspectors for our state, and each has a few counties that they are responsible for.  I expect to see Bill Troup some time this summer.
