I am holding a Basic Honeybee class meant for Homeschoolers this coming Saturday.  That is May 3, 2008.  The class starts promptly at 1pm.  I will try to keep it around 2 hours for the kids sake.  It may go longer due to questions, but I will try to maintain course and get thru the information quickly.  The class will be held at 13000  150 highway Kansas City Mo.  This is just west of Horridge Rd on 150 highway and its probably best to google on Horridge and 150 highway.

If it is still muddy please park at the elementary school at Horridge and 150 highway.  13000 is only like 1 block west of the elementary school.  Below is a basic outline of the class:

Bee Basics:
Types of Honey Bees
Honey Bee functions
Honeybee Biology (very basic)
How honey is made
Honey Bee diet
Honey Bee diseases
Africanized Honey Bees (how they may impact us in Missouri)

If at all interested just show up.  If you have any questions send me a PM.

Again this is a class meant for homeschoolers and is not a BEEKEEPERS course but rather a basic honeybee course.  All parents are welcome to sit in on the course as well.  Provide your own beverages and food.  It will be held outside so bring a chair.  I will have an observation hive setup for the kids to see.
God Bless all the troops
