i have a plastic entrance feeder ( it holds about 2 pounds) but want to feed the new hive on top, is there any problems that could happen if i set the feeder top of the inside cover and just put a hive body on then the telescoping cover?
should i use a queen excluder? thanks

I could go get a paint can and put holes in it,but it would just a take some time and gas.

I don't see why that wouldn't work. Might be tricky getting it out to refill it though, if it's covered in feeding bees.
