hey newbies, dont forget to reward your mentors here and there.
they give so much to us in the way of knowledge and make our attempts at beekeeping so much more sucessfull than we could do on our own.

took mine out in the gulf last monday tried to show him a good time and had a ball doing it!

jp why dont you respond to this with a link to the results of
"take your mentor fishin day".

Bailey, now isn't that just the nicest thought?  Yes, I agree, those that give, receive.  Have a beautiful day, Cindi

I plan to have invite my mentors over this summer for a nice dinner in their honor.  I couldn't have done it without them.
What I've learned from beekeepers that have been doing this much much longer than taught me more than I could have read in any book.
I won't let grass grow under my feet, there will be plenty of time to push up daisies.

I would have to invite everyone on this list to my house, since nearly all our information came from you guys.  Ya'll are welcome to come to Maryland if you want.  Just give me a day or so notice  :-D  But in the mean time . . .   THANKS!

I would also like to thank everyone here.  It makes it so much easier knowing that I can come here and get advice.

Thanks again!

Everyone said it couldn't be done. But he with a chuckle replied, "I won't be one to say it is so, until I give it a try."  So he buckled right in with a trace of a grin.  If he had a worry he hid it and he started to sing as he tackled that thing that couldn't be done, and he did it.  (unknown)

Yep, us mentors spend a few hours helping newbees. John, the beemaster, spends months and years maintaining this forum. How many have made a contribution in the last year. Don't you think this might be a good time to do it?

My mentor has been working the stew out of me! Removing and extracting honey, making splits, and moving hives from one field to another. Payback for all the good help that he gives to me.

I took to my local mentor, great 80 yr old fella, one of my first swarms.  Kinda turned out poorly, because it happened to be one where I somehow missed the queen.  Since then I have connected him with two more swarms that turned out much better.  It was nice to return the favor, a bit.

Thanks, to all the mentors on here, also.
