I need to get the feeders off my hives.  The girls have stapped drinking form them, but a lot of them are still hanging out in there.  What is the best way to get them out of the feeders and the feeders back into storage in my basement without all the bees coming along for the ride?

Empty them and put them a a fair distance away from the hives. Remove at night and put in shed.

The reason for this is the bees will cover the feeders to get every last bit of syrup.  They might not take syrup from the feeders while on the hive but put a feeder in the middle of the lawn or garden with just s slight coat of syrup and the bees go bonkers over it.  An Artificial flower in the Parlous of Britain. but then, they also call triangle bee escapes cleaning or clearing boards.
