Can anyone advise where I might be able to buy some queens for some swarms that I have caught in the last few weeks? Some of the swarm queens are laying a very good pattern but most are just so-so. I have been trying to find some at a reasonable price to no avail. I would appreciate any information.

Arthur Hudgins sells Italians here in GA, $18 but shipping is $15.  He has many right now.  Let me know if you want his number.

do you know if your swarms had virgin or maybe really young queens?  i got one earlier that had a virgin.  it took her a long time to get going well, but now she's super.  i hate to requeen a swam if i don't have to.  especially if i know it has come from a long existing feral hive.

mine was probably the 3rd swarm out of that tree according to the lady who called me.  as i understand it, after-swarms often fly with a virgin or very new queen.

His are minnesota hygenic italians. They are sooo cute, they look just like a queen bee only smaller.  Mr Hudgins is very easy to work with. He had me 2 queens within a half hour after my initial phone call.

I am in rockmart and work in Rome 3 days a week, ArmucheeBee

Good to hear of someone near me.  I can not send email yet so I had to post again.  I know this is not the place to ask, but do you attend the Bartow Beeks meeting in Cartersville?  They are on Tues. and I have a continuing ed. class so I can not make them.  Can I get your email for a contact near me?  I am working with Michealea Flynn and Amber Prince to get started.  Also, know David Johnston.
