Don't know if anyone wants it, but I was just cleaning up my gardening stuff, and found that I have a large excess of Okra (not sure of exact variety, but it's a very good producer, and quite tasty if picked young) and yellow summer squash (early prolific straightneck) seed.  Let me know if you want any, and I'll be happy to toss some in an envelope for you.  Just PM me with what you want and your USPS address.  Otherwise it'll just go to waste.  By the way, all these seeds are 2 years old.

PS - these are likely the biggest yellow squash seeds you've seen... I took them from a 2-foot long 5 inch wide squash.

Hey Sarg.,

Do you have problems with squash vine borers? They destoyed my squash and pumpkins this year.

If so what do you use to treat?

SgtMaj

Not using them because I'm keeping all I can use for the next 5 years already... this is extra I wouldn't have room to plant even if I kept them around for more than 5 years.

I don't have any problems with them here, so I don't really treat with anything.  I didn't plant any this year though, as the strawberries took over most of my garden space.  Last year nothing really touched my squash... well, rabbits did eat the young squash plants until I fenced them off.

Huh, I guess i'm just cursed.

thanks, Sarge.

Glad to see you back sarge.

Borers got all my squash this year.  First year growing and possibly my last.  Good luck with tomatoes though.
I won't let grass grow under my feet, there will be plenty of time to push up daisies.
