My bees seemed irritated and I started feeding them corn syrup and they are taking a quart in less than 24 hours. I also added fumigillian to syrup. I guess I am in a  dearth in KY.

Do they still have space to draw comb?  If so, they'll continue to take it about that fast.  Otherwise, they'll slow down once they get it stored away.

I've seen them do that in an 8 hour period.  Put a quart out before I go to work and when I come back...gone.  No leaks!

I'm kinda unclear...did they seem irritated before or after you put the feeder out?  If after, they may be getting robbed.  Boardman feeders trigger robbing like you wouldn't believe.

They were irritated before the feeders. They have some space to draw comb, but I want them to build up stores they are alittle light right know(hive)
