I had a bee, a honeybee, fly in my garage today, it seemed like it was checking everything out.  At first I thought it was a yellowjacket because of the sweeping motion it had while flying, but it was really orange and had a fat abdomen like a honeybee so I thought I'd get a better look, sure enough, it was a honeybee.  I wonder what it was doing in my garage... other than checking out the stuff I've been building for them.  It was probably a bee building inspector... HA!

It was looking for a place to move into for the winter :-D

JP, at the time, I thought she might be a swarm scout... but it's kinda late for swarms here.  Though I was talking to another beek at the fair yesterday, and he said he got a 5lb swarm just a couple blocks from my house about a week ago.  She certainly was interrested in my bee vac.  If you build it, they will come, right?  :D

Jim, yeah, I work the night shift primarily.  I actually kinda like it.

If there is a dearth, then she's looking for ANYTHING SWEET!  When there aren't any blooms around, my bees are all over the place looking for work!
