You've got to look closer!!  The second post on this thread by Robo is for a "hive within a vac"  don't let the red color fool you.  He painted his box red.

Ok, i have some questions about robos vac.

Do you use frames in the boxes, when vacuming?

How does it work. ie. dead bees?

Does it need to have a slanted bottom?

Thanks this is exactly what i was thinking about building and am wondering how it is working.

Just looking again at what other on this thread said, smooth hoses are not very manuverable (sp?) and may be hard to find in a certain area.  Low velocity and low time seem to do the trick with a normal hose.  My bees were killed due to a 90 degree angle at the end, the hose part does not seem to matter if you hold it fairly straight.

Does anyone have the answers to my other questions and has anyone else built this bee vac befour?

Works well for me and for others from the feedback.

probably not, but just like with cars, it is not the high speed that kills, it is the sudden stop.
