I have to do a bee talk soon and my bees in the obs hive are still alive.  Three deeps, no brood since the end of Sept. and bees cover two and a half frames.  I do not really expect them to overwinter, but it is my first time keeping bees in the house and they have a dark queen(smaller cluster size), so maybe they will make it.  I really don't want to shake them up, but it would be fun to have bees to show.  Would you take them along or not take the chance of stressing them too much?  Thanks for your thoughts.

I often take bees to presentations in winter.  It's probably not a good idea, but I do anyway.  Nothing like seeing live bees.
