I have a nursery about 1/2 a block from my house that get a swarm on the side of his building every year in the same spot.  He has a guy come and vac. it up.  We were talking about my bees and this got brought up and he asked if I could pick them up and keep them in the neighborhood.  I agreed but was wondering.... If I was to put a nuc with pheromone in it on the ground right by the corner would they take to that better or would they still stick to the wall?? I captured a swarm from a tree but am alittle confused about getting them off a corner wall of a green house.

I would use a 10 frame deep, or if you don't prefer deeps, 2 mediums.
They should take it.

That sure would be nice to have a swarm move right into your hive. My luck would be not to have a swarm in the area this year!

The owner of the nurserys only question I could not answer was.......  He has alot of wasps around his place would they set up shop if I put the brood box there?

they might.  i have found them in my swarm traps.  you would have to keep an eye on the trap and knock them out if they show up.

I would definately set up a bait hive, I have had some good luck just putting in 10 frames with foundation in five of them. Seems like brood boxes that have been used work better than new wood, must still have bee smell to it.
