Acts2:37: Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39: For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40: And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation

I would venture to guess mites.  Sounds like hygenic bees to me.

My guess is that they are drone larva, and its the end of the road for them. not sure about your area but mine is dumping them now. slowly but determinedly. There work is done. Drones are pretty uselelss to the bees come fall. no breeding and  they do like to eat. so out they go. no work no eat. LOL
Each new day brings decisions,  these are  new branches on the tree of life.

Are you doing mite treatments?  Sometimes that will trigger the described behaviour.

NICE Pics JP. Them girls were busy in that floor cut out. How long did you have to set the hive box in that room to get them to regroup ?

Would you mind asking this in the thread it came from? Don't want to highjack this thread and honestly, I'm not quite sure which pics you are referring to. Thanks Sparky.
