I was wondering if it's okay to mix honey and sugar syrup when feeding?  I had some uncured honey that I collected when I harvested honey this weekend and also added the rest of the bucket drippings when I was cleaning up.  There's about a quart of that and I'd like to just mix up some 2:1 syrup and mix it all up together.  Will the bees eat that?  Also, what is considered "too cold" for feeding syrup?  We're at the strange season here in Vermont where it's in the 30's overnight, and then 70's in the day.

If you have no disease in your colonies it will be OK.  The odor of the honey will cause more robbing activity, so be sure to reduce the enterance to the hives.  Thinned honey will ferment faster than sugar syrup so don't feed more than the bees can take in a day or two.

And you can feed until they stop taking feed.  Probably that will be around the 40F mark.
