Set you up a motion sensor camera w/ flash (trail cam).  They make them where you can mount them just about anywhere, with pretty good clarity. Also wet (Soak)  the ground around your hives real good, so you can see tracks. Like Wayne said, rake the ground around the fence and hives to loosen the soil.
