Hi.  Tomorrow should be 78.  Is it okay to move bees at this time of year from TBH to langstroth beehive?  I have a couple of frames with brood.  I have a total of 9 frames at each hive.  They started to bring in polin.  Does it matter if TB combs are a little bit wider than regular deep frame? Is this possible to move 2 TBH in one day or do I have to do it one tomorrow and one the next day (I have 2 TBHs).
Thanks.
Thanks Art

I think there are those who may wonder why ... Of course you can and why not, almost everyone else seems to be in the lower 48.

Are you planning on using top bars in a langstroth? If you are, you'll needfour deeps or two deeps and two mediums. yes it does matter if they're wider. 10 Frames in a box are designed with a 3/8" bee space or crawl space on the top, bottom and sides with the exception of the end frames for feed stores. Besides propolizing what ever they can bees do use brace, cross and burr comb, I would expect it to one day rip apart or fall off the top bar lifting it out the box.

but - I'd bet its been done been tried and tested in a langstroth. not much if anything at all hasn't been done in beekeeping. meaning, what ever idea one has has been done before somewhere at some point in time and documented.

What I would do is prepare enough standard foundationless frames to hold the comb I cut from the tb to fit inside the frames and use some cotton string or rubber bands to hold the comb in place on the frame. I'd also have another deep or medium with frames ready to go on top before I started.

After removing all I reasonably could, I'd put the langstroth with the same bees from the tbh on a hive stand exactly where the original sat and move that tbh as far away as I could in the same yard.
