Looks like one of my packages is queenless. The other is going strong and added 2nd super today. I took a frame with brood in different stages and added to queenless hive. Should I requeen or see if they raise one from the brood?

how long since you hived your packages?  no brood at all, i take it?

that is your choice.  requeening will help the hive build faster.  if you wait, they will be a bit behind.  buying a queen you risk rejection, but if you take your time releasing her, you'll probably be ok.

check that frame in a day or two and see if they have started queen cells.  if they have not, be really sure that there is no queen in there before you buy one.  if they do start queen cells, then you can be pretty confident that there is not one in there.

May 1st.... it will be three weeks on Sat. My first year so I'm looking to work thru it to learn and don't want to really requeen. I will check it in two days. Thank You

You said a frame of brood of different sizes. Did it have eggs. If not, a viable queen may be doubtful.
