just picked up a new (old) decapper manufactured by cook and beals of nebraska.   Needs some work and alittle TLC and I will be decapping 50 frames a minute

yes in has knives on 2 rollers.   2 chains run the frame through th knives then drop it out the bottom onto a set of conveyor chains that run it down to the end of the 8 ft stainless tank

pic will be forth coming but as for price it was 550.00.   I dont know the exact year it was made but the gentleman at cook and beals http://www.cooknbeals.com/uncapper.php   looked at the pics and said late 50's to early 60s.  They still carry parts and have owners manuals.  The biggest fix I have with it is freeing up the 3 chain drives that although are not rusted, they have stuck into position on the sprockets.  Lubing them without contamination by using things like WD40 is out.  What I am kicking around doing is dropping them in my turkey deep fryer and kicking up the heat.  It has one gear box that is stuck but that is the project for this weekend.  No big deal gears look in great shape just need to get moving again.  So my honey house is going to look like something out of the past.  old decapper, 1970s 30 frame  maxant extractor and a old 300 gallon milk tank
