Greetings from snowy MA!

Hi All,
I am new to Beemaster, but am an active participant on beesource.
I am into my 2nd winter as a beekeeper, so I technically am starting my 3rd year.
I am in central MA, and have 3 hives in my backyard and 2 more hives I am maintaining for a friend in a town about 30 miles away.

I always appreciate comments and advice from more "seasoned" beekeepers, and attempt to share what I know as well.

So just how snowy is it up there? Our snowman finally died sometime yesterday here in Georgia. In the morning he was just a plates worth of snow on the grass. This morning gone.

The news people are saying that for January we had 38.5" of snow. For the 2010/2011 winter season, we've already had 70" of snow (the average is 46" for the whole season).

Just imagine how much more snow we would have without global warming :-D

I heard Al Gore say today that the global warming was causing all the snow. He said that warmer weather caused more moisture in the air causing more snow. Ya, right.
