I am new to beekeeping in fact i haven't had any bees yet just have some boxes and I want to start its going to be a project for my Father and I and I'm sure my siblings would get involved at some point. anyway my Name is Katy I'm 22 and have a weird Fascination for for bugs, i love animals and have taken care of many pets in my life. well that's enough about me, the reason I'm here is to learn as much about beekeeping as i can, i usually get my information by reading but i figure talking to people will help as well. any information will be great but please remember I know nothing about beekeeping.

Hey dahlgurl. Welcome from Central Florida.  What part of the world are you in?  You will get more specific advice on this forum, if you let everyone know where you are from.  Good Luck!!

Hi Katy and welcome to beekeeping. You are very fortunate to be interested in keeping bees at your young age. I started beekeeping in 2006 with one hive and now have 3. Sometimes I have 4 hives but this is my limit as I am not very strong.

How do you plan to proceed? Have you read any books on beekeeping yet?? Have you taken any classes or joined a beekeeping group in your neighborhood??

By the way, where exactly do you live?? You can place your location in so we all know where you live.

Stay in touch and ask any questions you may have.

Sincerely
Annette

Welcome to Beemaster forums. We were all beginners at one time or  another. We are here to exchange knowledge and ideas and try to have fun while doing so.
Don't be afraid to ask questions. The only silly one is the one you didn't ask.Every question you ask, there is probably a lot more people reading that want to know the same thing. Good Luck!!
