Had to remove bricks to access the colony. Some may have opted for a trap out but the house is up for sale and the customer wanted the best option.

Hope you enjoy the video!

Nice one, as always.  They do pick the most interesting places to set up house, don't they?

I bet they got pissy when they were choking down all that concrete dust.   I had to dry drill a 2 1/2" hole through 16" of filled concrete block today and still coughing up stuff now.   Good idea on drilling the holes below the hive for the bee quick.   With all that new comb, how old do you think that hive was?   Great video.

JP

Len, they do pick some mighty interesting spots to inhabit, no doubt!

Allen, I don't believe they had been there more than 4-5 days is my guess, a week at best perhaps.

Interesting removal. Kinda lucky catching them so soon, eh. Can't imagine of the comb when to the bottom. I am assuming this was this years swarm based on the color? If so, man can they build comb fast.

Another location question. Was this on the north side of the building?

Thx,

Jay

JP

Jay, they hadn't been there very long & yes, they were on the north side of the building.

OH all that terrible dust, yiks I would be coughing.

I think that is the first time I have seen you cut through brick JP. Seems the homeowners never want you to do that.

Happy ending. Always a happy ending with your cutouts.
