my hive has 9 frames in brood box   the comb is so thick i can barely get the last frame back in and lots of burr between combs   how can i get 10 frames in without destroying brood?

You can wait until they are not rearing brood.  Maybe even early spring.  Then take a hot knife and cut the excess off.  If you have an uncapping knife that would work, or if you don't, take a pot of boiling water and dip the knife in that until it's hot and then cut.

You can even it out somewhat by shaking off all the bees and cutting in such a way that the honey flows down and off instead of onto the brood, but this is much more tricky.

9 frames in a 10 is something I wont ever do again. Michael B said not to, but I did it anyways. Comb is way too thick in the brood area. Im going to have to wait til its empty and plane it off with my uncapping knife and go back to 10 in a 10 or maybe even 11.
