Hello all,

I just picked up some styrofoam bee hives off the side of the road today and I have lots of questions I hope you folks can help me answer.
Let me say a bit about myself first.I'm a 24 year college student, and I've always been interested in raising bees (especially since I started gardening), but I've never made much of an investment of reading about it, and I don't really know what supplies I'll need to get this rolling.

Is it too late in the season in upstate New York to start a hive?
What will I need to invest in? Tools? Supplies?
I'm going on very little money so I don't plan on investing in a bee suit.
What is some basic know how for a beginner?

If you can find a nuc or a hive, it's not.  Find a beekeeper.
