I have a hive that started out doing great. The queen was very productive, laying great brood patterns. The hive was flurishing. It consisted of two deep boxes full of bees and brood. During the last hive inspections, the last two weeks, I've noticed that there is no new queen activity. No eggs, no larve, nothing. Now as the sealed brood hatches, the bees are back filling the brood frames with honey. I have no sign of any type of swarming, no hatched queen cells etc. The hive still has good numbers of bees. It's like she just disappeared. Maybe I squished her during an inspection. Any thoughts?

I would place a frame of eggs in there and see what they do with it. If they make queen cells, it'll be fine in a few weeks. If they don't, then they have a new queen that will be laying shortly.
