Does anyone have Basswood (American Linden) seed available?

Never tried planting the seed but I've dug up and re-planted a few sapplings over the years and they're all still growing strong.  It can take awhile for them to reach maturity and make seed/flowers for your bees though.

I know it takes years, but I am restoring some pretty abused land, and if I am planting trees anyway, might as well throw some Basswood in to the mix, especially since Basswood is native to all the counties in my state.  I have planted other species, and I seem to have better luck with seed over already started ones.  For whatever reason, the deer and gophers don't bother them as much, and within 3 years or so they are just as big as the ones that I planted.

PM your address to me and I pick some off of my trees (and/or the ground), put them in an envelope, and snail mail them to you.

The do like wet areas. I live next to a river and they love all the water just 3 feet down. A lot are just on the edge of the river.
