Frames of honey

I have a hive with three supers.  The first has some brood and four frames of honey and pollen. The second and third each have six frames full of honey.  I think I added the third super to early.  My question is should I move some of the third super's frames down to the second? I have read about bees dying from starvation while they had honey because they could not reach it.  The girls have booted all the drones and are in full swing preparing for winter.  I am a first year beekeeper, please help.  what size boxes are you running i know you said suppers
are the other frames that dont have brood-or honey drawn                                                                                                                     out or are they still foundation -RDY-B

As Rdy-b says, we need more info about your configuration to know what is best.

If your climate warrants that 2nd super for winter food, then yes, you would want to move some frames of honey down into it before winter.  

Tell us your hive configuration (deeps? mediums? number of boxes, 8 or 10 frames) and somebody in CA can give you a better answer for how many boxes you really need.
