How to process 1000lbs of slumgum

I read somewhere theres 40 to 50 % wax in it and can be processed for wax only.  Though I could melt it down some how?

And there will still be 35 to 45% in it when you are done.

you would heat the slumgum in drums-take your pick on the method
then you use a hand press looks like a big cider press-the recovery is minamle
there are companys that advertise in the journal that proces slumgum but 1000lbs
is what a drum and a half--not alot --RDY-B

To process it you will need a wax press.  Walter T. Kelley used to sell these.  I don't know if they still do or not.  They are very expensive.  Then you might get between 100 and 500 pounds of wax out of it depending on how efficiently they got the wax out before you.  Now if THEY used a press already you'll probably get virtually nothing.

Yes, Kelly still.sells.the Atlas wax press.  I was supriseds at how inexpensive it is (about $600), but I bet it requires freight shipping and a place.to put it.  As Mike said...if the slumgum has already been presses you wont get much.

could not find it on the website or in the cat-there are other items from the older cats
i have been looking for and dont see them anymore-since they have started selling
Maxant they have moved into they automated era of manufacture -you can get one
from EQUNIOX it is made in MEXICO--RDY-B
