requeening frame

I discovered one of my hives had gone queenless and had laying workers. I know that putting in a frame of eggs/brood weekly is supposed to correct this but this method has failed twice before for me. I saw the requeening frame that Brushy Mtn. sells, so I made one and put a frame of eggs/brood and new qeen in the requeening frame in the hive. Does anyone know how long I shood keep her in the frame? I used a standard medium frame and screened a section of it so that the queen can be fed but not killed by the hive.

I kept my queen in the frame for a week and then released her. It worked, however I placed a frame of capped/emerging brood right beside her.

I hadn't thought of a frame of emerging brood. I guess the idea is that the newly emerged bees will immediately recognize the queen as their's. Makes sense.
