Oh, and there is a hole to blow smoke into, "in case the hive must be opened for inspections".   Somebody is going to get an apartment full of bees.   :-D :evil:

i don't even know what to say to that.  i'm having trouble getting the extra pics to load, but i don't get the pull the string thing?

I can't tell if it's just a joke.  If you go the the Phillips site, they have more "ideas," including a toilet that filters the water through a few trays of grass to remove the effluent while moving the solids to a methane digester.

Can you remove the combs? Here in MA. you must be able to remove the frames of comb for inspection, i dunno about all the other states.

Pull a string?   Like a tampon maybe?   I don't think it would ever come to market.   They just made it for the advertisement they get through the news.   On really sunny days, all the wax would melt.  Are the frames removable?   And what do you do when all the glass is covered with bee glue?

I'd like to ignore what would be coming out with that honey, but since I can't, it just gets grosser and funnier...
