Yellow jackets

Bluebee, sure was a battle this fall with the YJ and hornets. I had the homemade traps out and had all my entrances reduced down this fall. Some still got in when the guards bee were asleep though.
At times there were piles of dead YJ in front of each hive.
I got an old bad mitten set from my MIL and put the rackets to good use on a bunch, that was kind of fun.
Next spring I will be starting early on the queens with some tuna fish buffet.
