Can't wait till I need one of those.
Maybe you'll upload some vid showing how well it works!
Congrats!

Thats nice. I still crush and strain due to I only have a five hives. One of these days I might consider buying an extractor, if the wife lets me!

Congratulations.  That's a nice extractor and I'm pea green with envy.  I still use a Little Wonder 4 frame tangential that I've had for over 15 years.  I bought it used back in the 1990s, I thnk for $150, and it has worked well for me.  I really need a bigger one like yours.  Enjoy it.

Sweet.   I still hand crank.   Maybe one day I will get something with a plug.

In one of the pictures there are two pipes , are they for heating or something else?

mvh edward  :-P

I put 18 frames through it yesterday and ended up with a bit over 65kg's of gold  :-D

Edward you can connect a steam boiler to those connections to heat up the side of the extractor and allow the honey to flow a bit quicker.

Did that say 4750 dollars? I got mine from Mann Lake and I got a 9/ 18 framer for 500 and can motorize it for 500 more. Wow.

Quantity and quality of material used will cause the price to go up. Also the labour, its not cheap here. But I didn't pay that price anyway.

That is very shiny, Shane.

We are looking for a new extractor also, but preferably for the cost of a couple of steers.  Does anyone have recommendations?  A 4 frame would be good.

The Maxant 3100 is good quality but only does 3 deeps. Still not cheap though. I was going to get one of these until my partner talked me into something bigger.

By the way, the cattle buyer is coming tomorrow, so I'll know then how big an extractor I can get!

ShaneJ

Good luck with that. Hope you end up with an extractor you are happy with.  :-D
