Well, I started beekeeping this year with two hives. I just harvested two supers. Got about five gallons of really dark, great tasting honey. Not bad for my first year. I think anyway. I put the supers back on so the girls can clean them up and fill with whatever they can this fall. We have a small flow going on right now. Now to get the girls through the winter. I left a deep and a medium on each hive. Main thing is I learned a ton. Thank you to all who post on this forum. Just wait till next year comes. Time to build some equipment and learn about splits. 8-)

I bet that your first honey is the best or close to it that you ever had.  I thought that also.  Good luck to you and your bees, Rodger.

Thanks everyone. Yes, the honey is good. The best I ever tasted. Had some last night on hot buttered biscuits! Yummmm!
