G'day Nico,

   I think like most things to do with bees and particularly SHB -10 different people-10 different opinions. The chux may catch the occasional bee, but I think you can see from the picture above, it's a pretty rare event compared to how many beetles get trapped. It's not a perfect answer, but I don't think any of the traps are. Certainly a good cheap,easy way of monitoring beetle numbers and the chance of trapping the queen is extremely remote.
