Is it ok to give the bees water Mellon core

I'm wondering if it's OK to give my bees the core of watermelons ?

i have done it.  gave them a 1/2 not long ago and it was starting to go over.  wondered if they'd get drunk...and what do drunk bees look like anyway??   :-P
