Elmore County Alabama is right above Montgomery County

Last week in Montgomery I saw trees with red flowers, others with light yellow flowers and yet a very few with white flowers. Hen bit, daffodils, and dandelions wide open. Maples been blooming about a week there. Purple Martins begin arriving up from S. America about a week ago.

NW corner of Elmore co; Hen bit and dandelions. I saw Blueberry and plums budding real good. Maybe another week? Hickory trees with good buds. I saw a blackberry vine with new growth. My white clover is coming up fairly well. When all the leaves are off the sycamore tree down in the bottom by the chicken pen and I hear a whippoorwill - it's spring.

South Jones county, MS.  East of Hattiesburg and south of Laurel.

Today saw Red Maple, Daffodils, and Henbit in full bloom.  White clover, plum, and Crabapple had just a few blooms open.  Huckel Berry, Camellia and Laurel Cherry have bud getting ready to open.

Lot's of red maple, dioecious magnolia, and daffodils (one of my favorite flowers).

However...we are looking at lows in the upper 20s this week, too. Some places will be in the mid 20s. That may knock back flowering a week or so. And I saw a bumble bee wearing a pullover sweatshirt yesterday...

Elm showing bloom, maple too. Dandelion we have on and off all winter. Daffodils blooming in some spots. Cold today, but bees very busy yesterday hauling in a pale yellow to a yellow tan pollen. Henbit will be very soon in protected locations.

Rain last night in Montgomery, pollen accumulated in puddles of water, turnip blooming in Elmore.

Red Maple is blooming in Eastern NC. I noticed today something blooming in the feilds that looks purple. I dont think its clover.

I have seen clover already and red buds are just beginning.

My neighbor at the farm has 2 large pear trees and a large redbud. They are in full bloom.
The only problem is that the bees are in town. Hopefully there are more of them nearby in town.

Small orange grove less than a mile ...in a bee line....from my house is blooming....smells great. Right next to it is a grove 4 times that size that is just starting....my little Tangelo tree is budding, small navel is budding...but no blooms yet.
