Out on some inspections yesterday and found around fifty dandelions poking their heads up.
Maple blooms are dropping and are just about finished up.
Still some cool weather here, but at least their is some action in the beeyards now.
Looking for purple eyed drones is job one next week.  :-D

Gotta admit that's the first time I've heard someone get excited over the dandelions, although they make a good tea for liver kidney issues

I was out looking here yesterday, the privet hedge has buds, should be open in a few days.  Good luck on yaull's  flow this year.

Dandelions are a sizable event for me.  The spring bloom is the first nectar of the year and the irrigated legumes my bees sit by are flooded after every cutting and I get another massive dandelion bloom.  Not a great honey itself but it blends well with the alfalfa and clover and makes a fine tasting table honey.
