Just trying to build up this year but couldnt help myself to 3 frames of Foundationless honey. They had it to spare. I was very happy with the amount I got off 3 frames. Cut 4 pieces of comb, Filled 4 quarts and a Pint. The Poplar and the clover/wildflower have a very different flavor. Both great. G  :chop:

Bet it was some of the best you have ever tasted, I know my first honey was.  Really the rest I have done over the years seems to just get better.  Good luck to you and your bees.

Never feel you need to justify taking some honey from your bees.  Wonderful stuff isn't it?  had a ten year old grandson out helping me super today and his finger kept falling into the half drawn frames!  He has smartened up enough to dig at the top of the frame where it is starting to be capped and is not so runny.

Joe, yep, it sure was the best I ever tasted. Never was a real fan of Honey before, Funny thing is I LOVE it now....... :-D
My Wife even gave me rave reviews, which if you knew my wife, you would understand is a Great accomplishment....... Poor Girl......

Vance, I hear you on the convincing self advice. I made some splits this year and had a plan of how I was going to distribute from the Honey hive to the singles, well, you know how the newbee head never stops. I just made the decision that when fall gets here if they need my help with additional feed, they will recieve it. In the grand scheme of things what little I end up taking wont be enough to affect the winter survival. Thanks for the encouragement guys. G :chop:
