My father-in-law recommended this book very highly. I didn't borrow his because the pages were all falling out. I have been looking for over a month and found this book online the other day for $50!! This book is in EXCELLENT shape and I am very happy with the purchase. I received the book on Wed and I am almost finished reader. (hard to put down :)) What a great book this has turned out to be.

For the beginning bee-keeper this book is awesome!

Anyone have any other good recommendations? Preferrable on bee diseases, controlling mites, etc?

Thank you.

Joe

Michael Bush

All of Taylor's books are great.  I would republish it if it wasn't still in copyright...

None of Taylor's books mention mites.  My guess is he would be treatment free today as he was then...

American blood spilled to protect the freedom and peace of people all over the world.  320,000 USA casualties in WWI, 1,076,000 USA casualties in WWII, 128,000 USA casualties in the Korean War, 211,000 casualties in the Vietnam "conflict", 57,000 USA casualties in "War on Terror".  Benghazi, Libya, 13 USA casualties. These figures don't include 70,000 MIA.  But, the leaders of one political party of the United States of America continue to make the statement..."What difference does it make?".

Philly Joe,
Michael Bush's The Practical Beekeeper is also a very good book for Beekeepers.

Get the hard back copy with all three in one book. The first one is for beginners, the second one intermediate and the third one is for experienced Beekeepers.

I second the recommendation for Michael Bush's book.  I got the hardback one with all three volumes and have not been sorry.   Excellent resource.

I split it into three volumes so people on a budget could try the first one and decide if they want more and then progress.  As mentioned it's all what is on my website for free but reorginized into a book.
