kp Catalano

Hi, everyone.  I'm kp Catalano and I'm new to beekeeping.  I haven't actually started yet, and probably won't be able to this year because we're moving.  But for the past six months or so, I've been reading everything I can.  I've already joined a local beekeepers group, subscribed to ABJ, etc.  This seemed like the logical next step for learning.

You probably won't hear too much from me just yet, as I'll mostly just be reading and learning.  But I might pop in occasionally to ask a question or two.  Looking forward to a great educational experience!

Welcome to beemaster. Bee culture is more geared to a hobbyist beekeeper, ABJ is more geared to commercial Beekeepers.
You will bee way ahead by reading and learning from this site and books. Lots of videos here. Look under honey bee removals.

Welcome, ask as many questions as you'd like.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone.  I haven't posted my location yet because I don't know exactly where that will be yet.  We're still looking at our options.  I'm currently in central Florida, but I'll be moving before I start keeping any hives.  Probably somewhere in the Blue Ridge region.

Jim, so Bee Culture would probably be more helpful?  I'll check it out.
