Phill,  That is correct,  it would appear on either link when unread, but once you viewed it, it would be no longer considered "new" or "unread".

Personally I usually use New Posts link  and will occasionally check the Replies to see if something was overlooked.

Rob,
Most of the time a Replied Post does not show up in the New Post. Like right now I have a dozen Replied Posts and no New Posts. Is that the way it should be? If I click on the try all new unread post, there are over 20 post, some of which I have never seen.
