How long until bee bread spoils?

Hi everyone,
Quick question regarding bee bread: If reusing combs of bee bread from a dead out in order to supply a fresh colony, how long do I have until these frames spoil? (I'm assuming a few months if stored outside?) Ty

They ferment it to make it keep longer.  I always reuse it.
