Are there any beekeepers in the Sanford-Deland area that would be free to show their apiary this eeekend?  Have veil, will travel.

If so, email me.

Too far north for me and too far south for Jim probably....must be some central FL people out there though.

What's the route you plan to take? I'm in central Alabama. I didn't know if you were coming through B'ham down I65. I'm 14.5 miles off of exit 205 and can get you back to exit 170 something when you leave. I haven't looked at a map, it may be well out of your way.

I'm flying into Orlando.  Wish I could visit a lot of apiaries and beekeepers, but I have an ulterior motive.  My brother-in-law livies Deltona and I 'd like to introduce him to beekeeping to give him something to do.  Plus, my own interest in meeting some other beekeepers, of course.  I visited my neice's hive in Vermont this summer and got a big kick out of that.   It's always fun to see another beek's setup.

I think this is a really cool aspect of the forum. A worldwide community of beekeepers. This is a connecting place. not just online, but in "real" life too. Awesome. Beekeepers tend to be open and helpful with one another. I like it.
