By the way 750 pounds of sugar will make between 150 and 200 gallons of wine depending on how sweet you like it.

the hives that were fed sugar had a higher survival rate than that of honey....

???

Yup,

Probably because most people feeding honey instead of the unnatural poisonous processed sugar tend to save the really dark honey they cannot sell to feed their bees. Works OK in the spring when they can get out to poop a lot. The dark honey is higher in dextrin which bees cannot use. Gives them dysentery. Real killer if they cannot get out.  Exception to this seems to be buckwheat honey, which is dark because of tannins.

So the very best thing to feed your bees I guess is pure unadulterated pesticide free gmo sugar.  Aint that a bleep.

 HillBilly2,
I had heard that a few times and most notably @ the BC Honey Producers AGM which we hosted. Nice to hear an explanation that makes sense.
